Cee’s “fun-foto” challenge is texture this week, and a few photos from Tampa, Florida came to my mind.
My cousins that live in the Tampa Bay area, Gordon and Nancy, relocated there from Southern California about 20 years ago – and their move to the east coast actually allowed us to build a friendship.
Last month I took these water fountain pictures while visiting with them – and the “lively’ feel of the water is how my cousins make me feel. Sounds corny, but I really love these folks.
Also, their oldest son, Gordon Jr., well he had a very serious accident on a jet ski (while he was riding with his dad – back in CA- and it was when he was five years old). His story is a bit of miracle and after many surgeries, he is now in his 30’s and is thinking about becoming a personal trainer. On my recent visit, he and I took an evening walk (to talk a bit) and I was surprised to find so many chunks of “textured” moss on the ground.
I guess the chunks of moss are commonplace, but it was new to me, and made me want to take a picture.
Looking up at the trees that host this mutualistic relationship looked like this:

I would never of thought about a water fountain as texture, but it sure is. You can most definitely feel it. Great selection of textures.

Hi Cee – and I was thinning more of the moss – because some closeups show the velvet more – and I also had some options – but that water fountain pic just called…. thanks for taking the time to leave a comment – I know you have lots of blogs to visit for all the challenges – 🙂

Thanks Taylor – hope you had fun on your trip!
and Florida has a lot of humidity – so the hot days there are often different than hot days elsewhere in the US – and sometimes the air feels thick and dense – and it makes my hair really curly. Also, there is a big difference in being on the coast and inland – (which is the case with any area) but I think the air is different when you are seaside – and closer to A1A…. (beachfront avenue… ha!)
well thanks for dropping by today 🙂

I don’t think so. My main blog just isn’t the blog I first started, Crazy Words. I got a different idea, The Odd Land Of Me, and decided to make that one my main…. But my first blog may pop up when I comment instead of my main. I don’t really know. 🙂

Hi – and thanks for getting back with me 🙂
well I think that is what it is – when you comment it links back to an older blog – but in the blog roll reader – your current blog shows up – so I think I figured it out. Hope you are having a nice weekend. 🙂

Those last three look a lot like satellite images of a road winding along beside the water, or maybe I am crazy?!
