WPC- Refraction – mon torero

The WPC is refraction this week, and so to join in, I had some help from Señor Torero.

mon torero - refraction photo challenge - priorhouse 2014
Refraction 1 ( amo a mi torero)
bullfighter jacket colors in candlestick refraction photo challenge - priorhouse 2014
Refraction 2 (amar los colores)

Today is also Singing Saturday over on Love Happy Notes…

singing-saturday

and so to join in on her challenge, I would like to share a Switchfoot song. This band reminds me of two bloggin’ friends: K from Vastly Curious – and T from Other Side of the Trees! 🙂

We just watched a show about Switchfoot’s Fading West album and the Goo Goo dolls singer, John Rzeznik, was interviewed about Swicthfoot and what a small world it felt like.

Anyhow, here is probably my favorite song from Goo Goo Dolls – you know, because it is Singing Saturday after all.

Have a nice weekend – and to see more refraction pictures- go HERE.

  1. I really enjoy your posts where you present different painters.
And this new theme of yours is so perfect for your blog, I think! Very nice, indeed! XD

anyhow, regarding the art – 🙂 well I was just thinking about doing a second Modigliani artist post later this month – and when I do a post summarizing my summer reading (coming soon) I have a few tidbits and pics about the Italian painter Titian – TTYL ❤

Loved the music, too. Goo Goo Dolls are one my favs, and I really like a lot of their songs, but my all-time fav from them is:

and not sure if Charly has seen this comment w/ his image – but he has seen the image because I actually made it for a short little video – – a few months ago -it was when he got into that fight – well as a joke to tell him to use wisdom – ha!

  3. The glass of wine shot is, not obviously, but actually brilliant. I’m very fond of Goo Goo Dolls. I particularly love their Dizzin’ Up The Girl albums. Lots of their great songs are on it, Black Balloon, Slide, Broadway, and hard to deny, Iris. I also love Name.

    1. Hey Rommel well each of those songs reminds me of my step-daughter and her visits when she would play those exact songs on road trips…. and this band is from my child hometown and so Broadway is very dear to me – my dad’s neighborhood was a few streets over from the Broadway in WNY, which is nothing like the Broadway in NYC. ha!
have a nice day in southern cal!

      2. yeah, I know what you mean – so much to do – but as we both recently noted – it is all about balance… right? even though I think some photography fro, your area in Brazil could be pretty amazing… so once you do squeeze it in I think you will have lots to capture…

  9. I feel, this is one of the best interpretation of the theme, as far as I have seen.

Superb example of Refraction and Total internal reflection, but keeping the “Art” part of it very much alive at the same time.

As, Indah said, I was really struggling to find a fitting image for this week’s challenge, but now got some inspiration here 🙂 Let me try to post before time runs out…

I am not in a position to comment on the later part of the post though 🙂

Have a beautiful day ahead 🙂

    1. Thanks Sreejith – that is so nice of you to say – (honored ;))
and I really did not mean to incorporate art into the theme, I just love that painting and it unfolded so nicely. I hope you have a beautiful day as well – and I will be by later to see what you come up with

You woman…….I actually showed the video to some people, you made their day really, and I got teased throughout the day.
