thanks P – and I should note that it is not fully downtown = it is the south reflection of the stray buildings that are just outside of the main downtown…. I think she has a 280 degree view of the skyline…
That’s great 😀 I presume you are more interested in colour than in b&w? I have two guest challenges per.month. Colour one in June is still free, after that from August till.end of the year. You pick.the month. Also, if you prefer to.do.B&e than colour, you should tell me. I’m so.happy 🙂
well you know me so week because the color one would be more mtg thing (and actually – that is why I soaked up the recent Guest challenge (w Debbie) – I had no idea there was so much to learn with B & W.
and June actually works good for moi. and again – how cool – and of course I have some questions and all that which I know you will cover w/ me – but P- you are such a good planner….
So, any Thursday in June (it’s your pick). Let me know what date works for you and your theme of course. Other events with their themes and dates, are listed on Scheduled challenges page. Whatever question you may have, I am here 😉
thanks very much – it actually all started when I was trying to decided between west coast drive and east coast monument – I could not pick and so had to broaden the options…. ha!
appreciate the feedback – and I got the idea from a blogger names jesh – she does her posts like this – although I wonder if she is embarking on a new season – anyhow, when I read her posts and have actually started to see how she loops in her blog connections – and she also does an edit for a mandarin orange challenge and it is fun… but ya know – I think we have seasons for trying things – like your song with your whale splashing post was such a good idea,… ah – keeps us fresh, huh?
hope you have a nice day Amy (and if you have time – can you come back and vote on my two polls on the Profit quotes post – I just set up two polls and am curious)
Thanks S – and I was not trying – I only noticed it later – but my good friend Donna and I were taking some rooftop photos before our flights that day – and the misc. shots had little surprises.
thanks so much “this old fella” and not sure if you do photo challenges – but there really were a lot of fun takes on this word…. from a real scale to miniature cities – peace! and happy running amigo
I like DC diversity best, Y. I lived over the Maryland line for six years and loved visiting the Reflecting Pool and the monuments for holidays and when family and friends visited me from New York. I became a bit of a de facto tour guide. Second comes the orange Golden Gate off Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco, I believe, followed by the northern mountain hill, southern ocean and midwest Denver skyline reflection. All are very nice work. Thanks for sharing.
well thanks for sharing your flowing take. and you know until I lived near DC – I had no idea that there is a part of Maryland that is darn close to DC and so right up in there with a cool vibe. I can see why you were a tour guide…. ha!
But maryland was not a state that came up a lot – and well we now have two family members that reside there – but they are farther away from that “line” you mention.
thanks again for your feedback Mark
I transferred to U of Maryland-College Park my junior year and lived in Greenbelt and was the sports editor of the Prince George’s Journal for four years after graduation, Y. I made the most of my six years down there, spreading my wings both over the line to D.C. and north to Baltimore. Beltway Boy I was. 🙂 I still have some dear friends who live down there.
I can´t vote, I like all photos but I will say this, the last one….the cool cushy patio, that was clever to show downtown Denver through the reflection
thanks Sir Spaniard – and later I will have to show you a bit more of the denver skyline view – those are the southern buildings – there is a whole bunch more to the NW of that…
actually Denver has snow – but it also sits at the foothills of the Rockies and it has very beautiful weather – and I think in 1992 denver had more sunny days than miami beach did…. but it does get snow – sir e- but in the inter you can wear shorts – sometimes after wearing a coat – the temp can cage a lot in one day…
Well it appears that I was in the majority with my vote (Denver reflection). But I have to say that my favorite picture was the collage at the top! Loved it so much I added it to one of my Pinterest boards!
I am truly honored to hear that – and in hind site I wish I would have added that one to the poll… and did you happen to notice that the mosaic compass is from NYC – I thought it was the subway but now I think it was at 30 rock (I am pretty sure at least)
Interestingly, I have never seen that mosaic. Could it have been created after I left NYC? Or is it that I was too busy working to have a sufficient look around me 🙂
well I wonder how much natives miss in their own areas…. but I think it is from the top of the rock – but I will double check that the next time we are there…. have a nice weekend
Hey Yvette, sorry I have been Down Under and haven’t had a chance to check out your post till now. Making a quick pitstop, before we head out again. I am a mountain person and prefer those to beaches, ANY time! So your pick for joy is, is spot for me too 🙂 I really like this North-South-East-West theme of the post…Very cool!
well I did know that about your mountain preference – and I am just glad to have both (which is why living in Florida was never the best fit.. nice – but not our fishbowl – ha) – and hope you are feeling 100% real soon. ❤
hah! I get it – down underrrrr – lol – have fun Mate! (cheesy, but could not resist) safe travels and be in touch when you return – oh wait – and in a few days I am actually heading down to florida to see my momma – so I will be away for a couple weeks too – so it will likely be March – 🙂 ❤ – (and hope you enjoy Asia… )
These are lovely photos from your part of the world. I love the third photo of the boy(s) out in the ocean best. Yes, they do look so small against the vast and fierce ocean but they seem to be having a good time. He looks like a very confident surfer already, so young. One day maybe he’ll bring home an award for it 😀
Hi Mabel – and first – thanks for visiting my blog – I have seen in the sphere for some time and I enjoy reading some of your comments (when I have time to that is… – ) anyhow, our boys actually have won surfing awards – but just some team awards from a camp they did for a couple of years – and the camps down there are very cool – you drop off the kids – and they surf all day – go for lunch with the group and then we pick them up at 5 – and on the last day we watch the group show their skills and then teams compete – anyhow, I think if we lived near the ocean they would have been surfers – but glad we had the chance to do winter sports too – thanks again for dropping by and “see” you later 🙂 ❤
That is such a cool camp, a surfing camp. That kind of camp isn’t very popular in Australia to my knowledge. Though we have vast beaches, the surf here is very strong and you usually see full grown adults riding them. Congratulations on your boys winning surfing awards. Maybe more to come in the future.
Thank you for your nice words. I’ve seen you floating around Amy’s blog for a while. I’m glad we’ve connected, thanks to her 🙂
