4 Street Shots from September

screen-shot-2016-10-09-at-1-15-03-am
I love the feel of this photo taken at the iconic Byrd Theatre in RVA. The young mom and her monkey bag- the kid with his head in his hands – and the haircuts of the boys give us the impression that the momma allows her boys to make some choices of their own. 🙂

The depth here is the reason I kept this photo. “Looking out from within”

This sweet momma, who I met in South Carolina, was so classy and charming. This is her second child and her smile stayed with me for a while.

I connected with these military guys on 9/11 – while with my mother – and it actually made my day to connect with military on this day – we were able to thank them for their service. They took a selfie with us too – but this was the photograph I liked the most.

And here is the painting in the “paris room”- which is where I stayed while in SC. How fun to have a guest room with the Paris decor.

  1. You have the gift of “a photographers mind”…to be able to take something that is ordinary and make it into something extraordinary by how you captured the photo.

The stories behind the photo add even that much more that extra dimension.

Thank you for sharing Yvette and have a wonderful rest of the week! 🙂

      1. I completely agree with Carl and couldnt have put it better – you have the gift of turning something ordinary into something extraordinary. A positive vibe, a smile a good feeling – you are both the white and the grey duck rolled into one 😀 🙂

    1. thanks so much passion dew…..
and I really should have uploaded a higher pixel image for that one – so we could see more details across the street – but hopefully enough came through. 🙂

And these two young men told me they signed back up and they were staying in the service longer than they expected- 😉
