Happy Thursday Everyone. To join in with Norm’s Door Challenge (here) – I have two photos with a bit of interesting light. A gate and then a recessed door with a bunny that has some backlight.
I have also been reading Les Mis and this passage seemed to fit the vibe here. To me at least – let me know what you think.
“The real human division is this: the luminous and the shady.
To diminish the number of the shady, to augment the number of the luminous,—that is the object.
That is why we cry: Education! Science! To educate and to teach reading, means to light the fire; every syllable spelled out sparkles.
However, he who says light does not, necessarily, say joy.
People suffer in the light; excess burns.
The flame is the enemy of the wing.
To burn without ceasing to fly,—therein lies the marvel of genius.
When you shall have learned to know, and to love, you will still suffer.
The day is born in tears.
The luminous weep, if only over those in darkness.”
Have a nice day and because this is a scheduled post, I will be back soon connect to the link up.

The first photo made me think of the laboratory of the proverbial “mad scientist” 🙂
We all have a bit of both the light and darkness in us, don’t we? The question is, who do we let out to play more often?

good question…

I very much like the iron gate and the backlit bunny. I know, bunny, but he steals the show.

Deep. ‘To burn without ceasing to fly,’ ‘learned to know, and to love, you will still suffer,’ ‘the luminous weep’ – Les Miserables, wow! Great post!

What a lovely passage to connect to your first door photo. That eerie green light emanating from behind the gate is very atmospheric.

The in the dark door with the green light from behind looks a bit ominous and so as Mr. Bunny too. They look like during Halloween.
