For part of June, I was “afar” from home and had the chance to visit family.
Part of my trip included time in Ontario, Canada. I grabbed some shots from a beach that was special to me from my growing up days. I will write more about this beach later because today’s post is all about photographs.
I did not make it to Toronto this visit ( I almost squeezed in a trip there but did not work out) was an hour away – and the flip flop reminded me of lost socks (well sorta)

Those places from our youth! They pull at our heart strings and take us back to what always feels like simpler times when the biggest decision we had to make was possibly what to wear that day! We marvel at the differences between the past and the present and relive some special moments and people, in our minds. When I saw the path, to the beach I wondered if it was like this for you, Yvette?
Hi – no – it was not like that when we went – the walk way was different and actually this is not the side we frequented – but it is now where my sister has a place along the shore –
and so many places have that haunting tug – at times….
and I am extra glad to come home tho
🙂

That opening path is very inviting, Yvette. Lovely images here

Are you still in Toronto? Happy Canadian Day. The photos are great. That flip-flop is surely afar from its owner.

Oh, lost socks! Now I remember on one trip, the heel (2″ high”) of one shoe broke. I dragged my shoes for a distance almost like limping.

I am particularly taken by the winding path in your opening capture – the horizon offers such possibilities!
