Street Shots – Part Blue (Lens-Artists’ Photo Challenge)

For this week’s Lens-Artists’ challenge (HERE) the team has invited photographers to share an “interpretation of blue—the color, the mood, or the time of day.  It’s up to you.”

I would like to take this opportunity to share a few more “street shots” (From June 2018 – Richmond, VA – © Priorhouse):

LET’S START WITH….

A MAN WITH BLUE SHORTS

NEXT:

A MAN WITH BLUE SHIRT (NEXT TO OLD GREEN BATHTUB FILLED WITH COLORFUL FLOWERS)

AND…

NOW A LADY WITH BLUE SKIRT NEAR THE TREE WITH BLUE LIGHTS

THERE IS A DIFFERENT VIBE IN THIS IMAGE – RIGHT SIDE SEEMS TO COORDINATE WITH THE TWO GIRLS ON THE RIGHT – THE GREEN, BLACK, AND YELLOW WORKS WITH THE ITEMS IN THE DISPLAY CASE. IN CONTRAST, THE LADY LEFT – WITH BLUE SKIRT – COORDINATES WITH THE BAG, TREE, AND REFLECTION OF TREE – ALL WHILE OUR GIRL IN RED – CENTER – WORKS WITH THE FLOOR TILES TO DIVIDE THE FRAME.

NEXT: DUDE WITH BLUE CAP AND DUDE WITH BLUE CHAIR

BLUE HUE AT CONCERT:

BLUE LIGHTS AT THE TOM PETTY COVER BAND PLAYED IN EARLY SUMMER

NEXT:

MEN WITH BLUE T-SHIRTS. THEIR T-SHIRTS SAY, “FINISHER”

DOESN’T THAT HAVE AN INSPIRING SOUND?

FINISHER.

YES – LET’S FINISH SOMETHING IMPORTANT AND CELEBRATE IT OVER PIZZA  – WITH GOOD FRIENDS  – AND LET’S BE PROUD OF FINISHING:

NOT THE BEST CLARITY IN THIS PICTURE – BUT LOVE THE HUG MOMENT CAPTURED (MUST HAVE BEEN SOME GOOD PIZZA) – AND THEY WERE FINISHERS! OH YEAH – INSPIRED ME.  SOMETIMES WE MIGHT NEED TO QUIT OR AX A PROJECT – BUT OTHER TIMES WE FIGHT TO FINISH – EVEN IF IT MEANS SETBACK, ANGST, TIME TO REGROUP, ETC.

NEXT – A REMINDER FROM A T-SHIRT:

YOU’RE GOING TO WANT TO GIVE UP. DON’T (GOT IT… – ok – good…)

NEXT: BLUE ROPE  – SECURELY TIED (LET’S STAY THE COURSE – TIE YOUR LINE AND GET GOING… be a finisher…)

THERE ARE TIMES WHEN WE NEED TO – “SECURE THE LINE” – YES – BE DETERMINED TO STAY THE COURSE AND BE THE FINISHER.

THAT IS MY TAKE ON BLUE!

NOW OVER TO YOU…

  1. (EN) My favorite photo is the lady with blue skirt and the nice description you give.I mean each skirt coordinated with items, the left, the center and right side.It works like a painting.😉
(IT) La mia foto preferita è la donna con la gonna blu e la bella descrizione che dai. Intendo che ogni gonna è coordinata con gli oggetti, il lato sinistro,il centro e il destro. Funziona come un dipinto. 😉

    1. I did not realize the painting connection but you are so right! And I love how sometimes photography elements are art elements overlap – and in this photo – I was taking a picture of a cute toddler ballerina in yellow and they just walked into my frame and out of it
      😉

  2. I like all of them, but particularly that impossible (but effective) combination of blue with the green bath, the nautical themed ones, and the motivational T-shirt.

    1. Thanks YC -I was on a bench waiting for a few people (felt long – one of those kind of waits) and so taking pictures was natural to pass some time – 😉

      1. Ha! I know. It’s funny though. I’ve been thinking about blue cars. I need to get a new car this year and I hope it won’t be gray/silver.

  3. I like the one with the lady in the blue skirt. You have an outstanding association to see the match or coordination of the colors. Well done. As far as skirts, I like the red one.

    1. Yes – I like the red one and the blue skirt has an 1980s mom feel (but not judging at all ) and this image seems to be a fav with readers –

    1. If I had to pick one for you it would be that photo – the teal reminds me of so many things from your and jack’s shares – and of course the flowers
