A to Z Wednesday (It’s been a while 10-17-2018)

Two years ago I did a month of A to Z posts. It was fun (and annoying during the final week).

I have a hodge-podge mix of photos sitting with no place to go.

It has been a long time since I did an A to Z post and  so I decided to create one for these images.

How does this sound?

Well here we go…

A is for Atlanta – such a busy, crowded, dense, energized, and fun get-a-way place. Oh wait, this is just the letter A. Now on to B….
B is for Brogan’s baby. Brogan is my step-daughter and her little girl, Thea Rae, is now one month old.

C is for Color! I like the hint of color in the bark – the bits of brown in the leaves – and then a simple birdhouse- with complementary colors of purple and yellow (Go Lakers).
D is for Designer birdhouse – because this is what some of today’s bird are demanding. A few of the avant-garde avian friends want a little flair to go with those seeds….

__

__

E is for Easy… as in Take it Easy….

__

__

F is for this Fun Find (and had to make and share the video with my Friend, BushBoy):

G is for Geico – and also for GUY. Because I was taking a photo of the splitting tree, but someone thought I was taking a photo of the Geico sign. Then I met this cool guy (and his wife). We were at the Richmond International Raceway earlier this year (free tickets, right when we were in the mood to go).
H is for Here He is… the guy that I mentioned in letter G. He gave me a mini interview guy from raceway nascar. He shared his take on how Nascar is waning and how he and the Mrs. have traveled to watch Nascar for almost 30 years.

rir

I is for intricate
J is for jam (they had to go and help this car out)
K is for Kick-ass truck (I mean strong rescue truck with a nice iron iron cocross)
lymph glands - human body
L is for Lymph system. Last month I spilled a crock pot of chili in the back of my spouse’s car (I will never let that happen again – promise you that). When I got back on my way (in a different vehicle) this image came to mind and I refused to get stressed. I relaxed and “used my breath to cool me down.”

M is for Mmmm (this was a grief shot for our last pup – Steve RIP – spring 2018
N is for Natural light beaming down – sometimes it reminds me of what God’s glory might be like…

O is for Opening Soon. This is a new grocery store that will be opened soon… Quite a massive building – and the door to the far right – I have posted about it before (need to show J).
P is for Payton (still…)
Q is for Quack
R is for Rest…. just for a bit we can sit (I like the shadows here)
S is for Smile – and to join in with Trent’s Weekly Smile HERE
T is for Tea…. (but of course)
U is for Unbelievable — Unbelievable as to how the fashion trends come back around. Do you remember the rainbow sweaters?
V is for Very Cold – it was frigid on L’s patio – (Last Feb) but this is where the BEST conversating was happening. So there we were….

W is for Weathervane Wednesday (here)

X is for X marks the spot for this bee. Also, this photo is eXactly how my year feels so far: Alive, fruitful, not perfect but HEALTHY – An area or two needs a little fixing – but alive and fecundated … and that is an eXtra good thing.

Y is for yuck – but I guess it works out to recycle elephant poo for poo-poo paper. What poo you think? – I mean what do you think Pooh thinks? I mean… ohh forget it.
Z is for this creature -well okay, Z is actually for the sleep I am going to get right now. ZZZzzzzz (good night to you).

  1. Wonderful use of the alphabet Yvette. Thank you for the video and I can see why you didn’t pick the crawfish up. The butter suggestion is good 🙂

    1. it is now afternoon and the day is going well. Thanks again for bringing out humor and fun in a mere crawfish sighting – ahhhh – blogging can be so enriching

    1. nope – hour and a half –
well started it earlier in the day and had to stop – so another half hour.
so under two hours – is that a long time to you?
Part of was fast because as noted – I had a folder of images to use – no place to go.

I still have a dozen more – and some of those are already in my WP reader.
In contrast, the A to Z posts I did in that month of a to z – some of those kicked my butt and were way too much time input for a blog post. I should have written a firggin book – I did it all wrong –
      but we live and learn.
and so this was under two hours and then some minor updated after published (always those)but only a couple minutes

    1. and side note- thanks again for supporting my month of A to Z’s back in Feb 2016 – I sometimes still smile when I think of certain bloggers who came and checked in to support and cheer me along – appreciate it

  2. Amazing A – Z photographs! Thanks so much for using a weathervane for the W. There are so many photos I love…thanks for the reminder of God’s Glory…the sweet grand-baby…Nascar. (My husband is a big dirt track fan) We lost our 14+ year old cat the day after we arrived home from vacation last week. It’s been tough…sorry to hear you lost a beloved pet too this year. God bless.

    1. reading your comment made it sound like god’s glory was found in grand-baby’s and nascar (and some would argue that is correct) hah!
Oh I am so sorry for the loss of your cat and coming home to it like that. sending condolences.
And with our loss – it was tough the first week, but we expected it and he was on borrowed time – and it does make a difference when it is their time and there is relief – the other dog passing (Cody Sport) hit me like a ton of bricks and it was Mahesh – my blog pal – and a few other friends who got me through the shock. It was unexpected and he was almost 12.
But this dog, Sir Steven Paul, it was time and we miss him, but – well – glad to have had him enrich our days and glad he is running in doggy heaven (had hip dysplasia near the end)

      1. I knew our cat was probably in his last days. He walked with difficulty and was extremely thirsty…not a good sign, and was probably developing diabetes. The last day he walked from room to room and cried. It was time, but very hard.

  3. Many good things from A-Z here 🙂 Th “Kick-ass” truck is a great match and can tell that is no kidding truck.

The poo-poo paper is a good idea but I think one needs to overcome mental block about what the paper transformed from 🙂

“E” is a good one and I like that song too (thank you :)).

    1. Hi YC – my reply vanished and so here is take two:
      I like No-kidding truck – a little classier than my kick-ass version – hah
you are welcome for the song and you are correct about the mental block with the paper – I will stick to tree pulp paper – 🙂

  4. Great photos, Yvette and great use of the alphabet. The rainbow sweaters, though! I remember when they used to be a big fashion deal when I used to attend school.
