What to Wear Wednesday (#1 – Pajama Edition)

I have to ask….

have you

heard of the trend of wearing Pajamas as regular clothes?

Well maybe people do it at times because their PJ’s “look like” regular clothes – but the trend of wearing pajamas that look like pajamas is in for some folks.

Not my preference – et tu?

Why change? Um, because you are in your pajamas – that’s why
no words…

Well maybe you’d want to wear an old school jump suit instead?

Or this skirt?

Or these boxers? (oh baby)

In closing, here is an image I like sharing with people.

It shows body temperature and can relate to how our thoughts connect to what we express in our body.

So one suggestion, with this info, is to not let negativity run like a faucet. Stop the drips of negativity before it flows too much; instead, laugh more – smile at someone – call a loved one – read a book – watch Jim Gaffigan – or do something –

Please be more intentional about lifting your own mood –

because the temperature your body “wears” is impacted by the thoughts you keep and the moods you allow to flow – 🙂

The red/orange areas indicate increased activity whereas the cool colors indicated decreased sensations. Happiness and love sparked activity across nearly the entire body, while depression had the opposite effect: It dampened feelings in the arms, legs and head. Danger and fear triggered strong sensations in the chest area, the volunteers said. And anger was one of the few emotions that activated the arms. More here: Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

And here is a fun commercial (I know, I know…) but this one is too fun to pass up on hump day:

    1. Yes M / you are good to go. And I had s friend named Michelle in 1990 – and she brought her friend from Hollywood FL to Orlando and she was wearing the cutest outfit – tank top and long comfy shirts in a tan peach color (it was summer) and was shocked when she did they were pajamas

  2. And I thought I was nuts, compared to those…. I´m good. And I´m anti negative, with all the crap ,see? your CP1, again…CP1!!!!, didn´t use a curse word since you did tell me that you didn´t like when I curse, wich is actually regular for me.

Now to the serious, what the f….k is wrong with people? Bunch of weirdos out there, and I will be positive to not let my body heat go up the roof. Damn woman! You do find funny other times interesting, actually a mix in this case, things to post. You are my… well I do suffer from OCF ( Obssesive Compulise Flirt), but the difference it seems that my real mother did a good job with hitting me in the head, and saying to me, or yelling it´s sort of the same, to be respectfull of people. Later on, as I grew ( a Little) I translated to be respectful to certain people, obviously, but it took me a long time!!!

Yvette, beautiful name by the way if is yours or not. Thank you, and you think you can give me another try with me sending you the poetry writing,j I have been editing it and, put them in certain categories, if you have the time, I would really appreciate it. I do know you have like me your life and things to do.

    1. Ally – same here – not to be all judgy-judgy – hah
And alsonsame here – I mix and match sets and I know some who are so ordered with their pj sets.
I sometimes will get rid of the shirt to a set if it is all wrong for me and just keep the bottoms – have a grey set right now that was that way – the bottoms are completely wonderful in loose enough (as you noted is important for you) but also feels like silk – the shirt sucked tho – butttons were in the way and just not comfy
Anyhow – the only pjs I would wear out would be ones that did not look like pjs – hahah
      Thanks for chining in

    1. Seems like a few others agree with you on the hate to wear pjs-
And I thought of you with this new Wednesday post idea – and have a few pics to show ya in a few upcoming posts –
And for me – I am super picky about pjs and different ones for different seasons – right now my favs for cold
Nights are these loud pink flamingo jammies – i also mix amd match tops and bottoms and I know some folks who are quite orderly with their “pj sets” – but I am not so much

      1. Let’s not forget a nice selection of cosy silky/fuzzy robes, according to season 🙂 They go well with a large T-shirt as comfy sleepwear, instead of PJ’s
Looking forward to those Wednesday pics 🙂

    2. Oh yes and yes! And speaking of fuzzy robes – I bought a soft fuzzy white robe and love it. I almost did not buy it because I was like “white – oh no it can get too dirty” but what the heck – it is not like I will garden in it – bah- and it has been a nice winter robe

        1. Got it- and sorry about my question – but thanks because I really did not know that it was brought back.

Have you seen the Verizon commercials – with “Just Ok is not OK”

  3. Prior,

I would LOVE to wear pajamas all day, every day. But it ain’t happening. Besides, it would ruin the mellow of changing into my PJ’s after a long day.

    1. You made a good point – changing into PJs is part of the winding down processs (and wearing nothing like some of the other commenters noted – well that is their winding down)

      1. It’s that clutch of comfy after a long day. Even if I was one of those peeps who didn’t wear anything, I think I’d probably wear PJ’s just to decompress.

    1. Oh have you? I will have to be in the lookout the next time I fly – I did see lots of sports wear on planes – and even in the business world for some folks – hmmm

  4. I have never heard of the new trend, but I saw people wear pajamas in shopping mall a few times. I remember my friend and I looked at each other and one of us whispered, “Pajamas?”
    Have a great day.

  5. I was just in a hotel for a couple of days. It’s not unusual to see people in the lounge for breakfast in their PJs. I don’t get it. I’m OK with that at home, but how hard is it to pull on a pair of jeans?

    1. Achem. SOME of us can barely drag our pajama-clad bottoms to the lobby before breakfast closes, let alone shower and dress and do all the hair before getting there. We’re on vacation, man, leave us alone 😛

      1. Ha ! I just pull the jeans on. I shower after coffee, and I do the hair with a towel, so… but, I’m working and I’m waiting for breakfast to open. Actually, I do the same when on vacation. Chronic morning person.

  6. Guilty – but not really in public, just lurking at our campsite. It’s so easy to get up with the sun and not change clothes till lunchtime, if at all. But, as to going to town or even a caravan park kiosk in PJs, no, no, no … eek!

  7. Ha Ha … that commercial always makes me laugh. I wore P.J.’s to a breakfast place once.
I had a death in the family and couldn’t bring myself to dress for days. Finally, I was taken to this restaurant
to snap me out of it. Honestly, it didn’t feel any different. Of course, they weren’t revealing P.J’s. LOL
    Fun thoughtful post …

  8. Much as I love pajamas, and I do, really, really love pajamas, like Ally Bean, oversized and mismatched, I can’t go out in them. Not properly. I can yard in them, hotel in them, houseguest in them, but not work or shop or drive or be seeeeen, so to speak. I have not yet decided if I’m mortified by the number of people living life in their pajamas or if I am envious. Not yet decided. For me, I cannot. I would not feel right at all. Like, you’re showing up for life, look alive? That’s me.
Also, I am VERY susceptible to color affecting my mood, so I’m careful with color. And I’m generally happy, although anxious, truly, generally happy anyway.

  9. I sleep in boxers so probably not the best idea to wear those daily, especially in the winter!
I like that chart, it’s very informative!

  10. Funny you should post this about wearing pjs. My 7 year old grandson loves his fuzzy camou pjs so much that he wants to wear them for school. His mom says that he can’t do that because she needs a chance to wash them. My suggestion is that they buy him a second identical pair. 😃
