Frontiers Video (Journey Tribute Band from last week at The Tin pan)

Hello Readers,

This post is to share about Frontiers, the Journey Tribute Band.

The video is about six minutes, which I know is long for some readers – so maybe just skim and go? Or maybe watch it all? But let me know what you think. 🙂  I tried to give a vibe for the concert by adding some extras. So it is a little raw on purpose (as opposed to just having a sampling of their covering the hits). Hope you like it.

    1. Hi – the crowd was bigger than it looks, but still small – under 500 I think.
They have 10,000 Maniacs this month and I saw on the wall they had The Fixx visit (do you remember them?)
And yes, I did join in the singing a bit…
🙂 but not one to go stand and sway and all that (not me)

  1. Looks like you had a great time. There are songs that I do like or have heard before too. I do not see this sort of live performance much but I like it. Oh, nice effects that you put near the end too. Thank you for sharing.

    1. Thanks for watching til the end – I might make a three minute version of the video –
And side note – I have a Porsche photo coming up just for YC! Tomorrow’s one word post…

  2. There are few who can match, even rival Steve Perry. But Arnel Pineda does an admirable job filling his shoes! I enjoy tribute bands yet there is little better than experiencing iconic musicians than the original performers. Glad you had an opportunity to relive and enjoy some of Journey’s amazing sounds, Y! And thank you for rekindling memories.

    1. Thank you for your kind comment – and well said
Also – funny you should mention Arnel because we actually went to see Journey play with him in 2001 in March in Daytona beach- but I was all cranky and it was s surprise from the hubs and the “last” thing I wanted was a concert (had two little kids at the time and I thought we were going for a sit down dinner) long story shirt – we learned more about communicating about dates and then when our friends asked us if we want to go to this (it is NOT the same as with Arnel and the original Journey guys- but still enjoyable) well we said yes and it was to make up for the time in 2001…..
