I like the warm and the cool painting illustration. It is interesting that the artist added solid lines into the painting. They help drawing your attention and make the painting stand out more.

Hi YC – I agree that the lines add a lot- and I like your view of it. His work reminds me a bit of Rothko – ?

You made me curious to look up Rothko 🙂 I did not know him before.

Hi – if you only saw what I left out – ha – kidding – but I did have a few more photos from the art show (like one that connected to Sunday trees) but I paused – came back and cleaned up –
Anyhow – thanks a lot for the feedback and I am planning on featuring a few more Emily Dickinson Poems this month –

Thanks – and that photo was taken because my hubs really cut them that way for dinner one night – I saw them lined up and grabbed the camera – then into the skillet (iron of course – wink) they went…

Here is thet real thing Yvette, its Sunday for you in the U.S, 6 hours less if your in the east coast and 9 less on the west coast. Check your calendar! I see it is monday and you woke me up, yes you, so your fault, waiting until it reaches 8 in the thirty a.m to go and battle with the bank, I won´t steal it I promise. Actually now that I think about it……
Point being, can that harmony of food reach me before I decide to rob the bank?
I´m seriously contemplating it if they keep F….ing me up.

You’ve explored quite a few types of harmony here! Wonderful! That was a great idea to use some works of art as examples. And I like your idea about the Emily Dickinson poems. She was brilliant.

Always so much to admire where there is colour, Y. That is so interesting, the iPad being a colourful sound station and generating different sounds and vocals. I’ve been to gigs where they have used iPads to DJ and generate beats. You really have to be coordinated to press the buttons in sync. Having a colourful diet is so important, and different colours of food and different food groups represent different nutrients. So important to eat widely.

I agree on the food variety and the iPad and beats story still amazes
Me what we can do with tech these

I don’t own one, but what the iPad can do is amazing and I guess if you just press around on it you’ll do something 😀

Love this, Yvette! Art, colours and poetry…every part neatly presented into a wholeness. Emily Dickinson has been a favorite since I first read her.

Harmony. A wonderful prompt. You have captured it well. I love how you incorporated food. I can see why folks love to take photos of food. They are so vibrant. Colour theory is so complicated. I am still trying to get my head around it, but I do prefer analogous colour schemes in my paintings.
Emily’s words are so beautiful, and I rarely say that about poetry! So I am looking forward to more May posts, Yvette.
