June 2019 Street Shots Part 2 (East Coast United States)

Hello Readers – this is my second round of street shots from June 2019.

Today is the 4th of July and so I selected June photos from the United States. Later this week I will try and share the leftovers from Canada and a few others I have from June.

First, we have my granddaughter, Thea Rae, sporting her 4th of July dress.

This is really exciting news to share that my stepdaughter, her husband, and baby are here visiting us for this holiday.

I think some of these next photos help to highlight the melting pot (of gold) we have here in the U.S.

Our country is not perfect, but I am proud to be an American.

Now lets take a look at some peeps from the East Coast of the United States

Slideshow #1: Pirates fan, first communion girl, tattoo girl, family (with Bills fan to left), and art show guy & art gal

Slideshow #2: Dogs on the road, man and son in motorized cart, bike dude smiling, couple walking, and man with suitcase and cigarette.

The last five are my top ones for this post.

Do you have a top photo?

18) Free to practice Amish traditions
19) Blended Family — so many options – for food and tea – and for marrying (the girl upper left is my son’s fiancé – and on the right is my son – with my mother (his grandmother)

20) Can wear any hairstyle we want (she said some folks call her puff girl)

21) This is Sparrow. An east coast musician – he let me interview him. Free to let the music play….

22) RIDING FREE (need to show Sorryless this because I had mentioned this dude to him)

  1. Freedom is awesome but it ain’t free. Thanks to all who give us the rights we have. Loved your earlier post and since your comments were closed I will add another idea for you as I have used it before when living in Atlanta, the home of Delta – Delta is ready when you are.

    1. Thanks for that, Anita! The delta is ready!
And also good reminder that feeding is not free and people are on waiting lists to come here – dying at border crossings and we just happened to be born here (well many of us reading) and so while not perfect – we need to still not slam our country. So I say shame on him

  2. Amish peeps in a Sheetz is an almost daily sighting for yours truly, LOL. They love them some convenience store grub, tell you what.

And there he is! The Easy Rider, cruising from the way back of times to right here and now. I bet you his arms are really, really tired!

    1. Hi – and I meant to link your blog to give you a notice that I had a photo to show ya – and then here you are – so gracias for reading amigo.
and I wonder if his arms do get tired – or did he just Harden them over the years and get used to it.
I saw him a day after I had mentioned this memory to you and this is the third time you have come up in a blog photo capture – Cuban sandwich, Orioles, and now free rider dude.

and the Amish sightings are common for you – that is right – you are in PA –
and I sure do like Sheetz more than WAWA right now because WAWA parking lots are dangerous places – have you seen the latest wa wa photo?

      1. You know it. And truth be told it was a nice surprise to find it tucked into your post.

Welp, I might not be very good at snapping pictures, but I do so try to write ’em. 😉 Combine that with talented blogging pals such as yourself . . . magic happens.

Yeah,I ain’t a fan of WAWA myself. Sheetz is always clean and fun and their food ain’t half bad depending on what you get. FYI: When the temps start dipping, the Reeses Peanut Butter Cup hot chocolate is divine.

  3. Fantastic photos, Yvette! I loved your previous post and completely agree with you. I would have definitely unfollowed TB, too. Shame on him. People like that don’t deserve to be in our great country. Perhaps he should move to Venezuela and then give us his thoughts on the U.S. I hope you had a great 4th!

    1. Thanks Jill, and the Venezuela point was what I was going after – living somewhere else for a while would sure stir up some different thinking. really good point – and we had a nice fourth – it poured down rain in the evening so it changed our plans – but super special having step-daughter and family here…

  4. You captured some amazing photos for this American holiday, but your beautiful granddaughter certainly take first place. She’s so cute and your son and his intended look happy sharing lunch with you as well. Family – it’s a good thing.

  5. I like all the photos Yvette, but my favorite would be your stepdaughter’s baby since this is a Fourth of July post and she sure is representative of this patriotic holiday – only Lady Liberty would be more patriotic. 🙂

    1. Thanks sooooo much ! It was fun to see her dress and head bow
And she also has these denim shorts for another outfit – I forgot how cute some of these baby clothes can be!
      Thanks again Linda

  6. The land of the…
You represent your country in style and with great taste!
I’ll soon be seeing the US of A in real life for the first time! Only NY and upstate NY but hey, it’s a start!
Trying to stay apolitical… MAGA! The rest of the world need to know that the USA is great – otherwise they all get cute ideas about who’s boss… 😉

    1. hi – what does MAGA mean?
and thanks for your comment –
and hope you are enjoying upstate NY – truly a beautiful place in summer –
and people sometimes forget about the state parks and mountains and gorgeous bodies of water in NY
and yes – some of us get to stay apolitical
and i pray for my country and those who lead it –
those in public service with great pressure and those
      frustrated when they feel
      their hands are tied!
      and who’s boss?
      gulp
i know what you mean – but if this country does not wake up – to
some of the stupidity with health care (they force it on folks and then the government allows outrageous prices for drugs and it hurts the middle class
badly – however i did just hear insurance companies are going to negotiate rates for hospital stays)
but saw a documentary where a young woman was cut off from her insurance (quit work) and in the States her meds were 800$ – she drove to canada and paid 25$
      so the boss?
      inside our country has horrible
      health care RESULTS
and the american people are paying for it

just read a blog post about education – a teacher of 17 years
talked about how bad it is – (i all see if o can find the link)
and so while my pride runs deep
and i pee my life to this country – trust me i do
i know we are flawed and need some wake up calls!
      big time
thanks for your comment author AJ
      😉
      bless you brother
