Today I want to share some car photos I have had in a folder. With the recent news of Ric Ocasek passing – and my The Cars band post this week – I thought it would be the right time to share car pics.
Let’s start with a few photos I took (of other cars in the lot) last spring at the collision shop. Ouch….
While at the collision shop, I had a chance to chat with a tow truck driver named Greg.
We hit it off quickly and somehow we started talking about “deer horns” (my hubs hit a raccoon while driving on the highway and that reminded me of the deer horns I had on my car all through the 1990s – I took lots of road trips and never hit a deer once. Not sure if the deer horns helped…. but the correlation is there).
Anyhow, this nice man, Greg, said he had deer horns in the car and then he gave them to me. I turned back around and gave him some essential oils I had in my bag.
You know – to keep the cab of the tow truck fresh…. π (I later gave those deer horns away and will share that in a different “cars post” sometime).

While in Florida earlier this year – while filling up the tank to return a rental car ((and side note – it was the worse rental car company ever – but it is a vent for another time – but the lesson learned is to only use a rental car company I trust))
– anyhow, time for the next photo
saw this old Toyota Echo at the gas station and was wondering if all four tires were “spare tires” – Β then I saw all the dent and dings – and had to grab a shot.

And back in April – when I started the folder for a “Cars post” – not the band – but the automobile kind of cars…
The Artisan (here) shared his traveling’ clean post:
.
That reminds me – time to join in with profrifollies (here) where we share funny signs we find:
And this next one – oh my goodness – people – can we please remember that cars are easy to break into:
Have a good day…
I will have a part two car photo post coming at some point
in the meantime – happy driving everyone

Fun post. I wouldn’t have thought about the “car boobs”. In these complicated days, I think only American women can “get away” with that. π
I’m not a big car fan (have a slightly bad back that doesn’t enjoy cars) unless they’re vintage cars. There was an aesthetic to them I don’t find anymore. (Also my mother had a Triumph TR3, so I was a bit spoiled)
Safe driving.

Wow – those Triumph cars were very cool – spoiled indeed

And good for you to live in a place where cars are not mandatory!
I have heard folks in certain places can use Uber and lyft for most things and do not need a car….
And smiling at the comment on the car boobs – hah

I gave up my car a few years ago. Only use Uber. Or walk of course if I can.
Now this city is huge. It takes an hour’s drive to go see one of our daughters. Right now I’ll pick up my grandson at the French school. 20 mins. And then 40 minutes back. Uber.
Be good.

Haha this was a fun car post. Transportation really is a lifeline. We were car-less for an entire month when we first got here. We made it, but it was so nice to have our own set of wheels. It has a few dents and dings here and there from the first owner and apparently a family of goats, but it runs well π

Hello Alana! Glad you got your set of wheels and “runs wells”is a very good thing!!
Also / I have heard that today is an ideal day to “not” have to own a car – like people
In cities like Miami can use Uber and Lyft with ease and less
Cost of parking and maintaining

That is definitely an advantage of city living. I rode Uber for the first time when we got to New Zealand and it was so common there that there was no wait time. It was the same experience in Arizona too. We also lived in a place where I could walk most places. Now I live in the country and a vehicle is necessary and I shy away from approaching the “city” due to parking and fear of other drivers. Lol.

Your scratch and dent collection is interesting but I’m glad none of them are mine. In the humor category I was reminded that my father used to have a all sorts of odd things that he would stick on the back of his car so it looked like they were escaping from the trunk. He had an odd sense of humor!
