That’s a lot of rain! They’re saying we’ve had more rain here this year than Seattle! Guess that means we’ve had a lot! LOL! That slo-mo is pretty cool! Have a wonderful week!

That much water here and Arizona would be washed into the nearest ocean. 🙂 Happy Labor Day and these days if you have a job, you should be very thankful!!

My goodness, Yvette, that’s wet weather on steroids! Great shots, and I love the slo-mo film of the sea. Very evocative. 🙂

Thanks Alli – and love your wording – on steroids felt right for august – we set records for rainfallsince the 1800s

Thanks Laurie – but my favorite weather at all – and we had way too much rain in august (record setting) but can see why many of you love that weather – moody and has a place 😉 – but sunshine days for moi – to journal in the sun

Oh my – and the umbrella has shades of gray just like the rainy day. We had 3.89 inches of rain a few weeks ago, and 3 inches within a few hours. Mother Nature sure has been on a tear everywhere this year.

I feel badly for them as well – a fellow blogger pictures of the sky yesterday – I believe she lives in Sacramento. Just amazing.

Thanks for the feedback – and must share that I literally had five minutes to whip this post out – so if I had time I might have added a video of a gutter pouring out water rather than the beach wave –
But trying to post all
Month long and must make some time frames work – and had a Cubano today – will share more later – not a very good one – ttys

Ugh, sorry about the Cubano. Was it righteously pressed at least?

Hi – yes sir it was! And in hind site it was a little better than I first shared – but seemed to only be ham and cheese with one or two pickles

That’s not a Cubano.

Great for wet…Destin video looks great. We’ve always gone to Jamaica for vacation, this year, circumstances as they are, we are going for the first time to Sanibel, Florida. I’ve always wanted to go there for the shelling…I’m excited.

Hi – please let me know how your trip comes out – Sanibel sounds awesome – and maybe a lot of folks are rediscovering what can be explored right here in the home country!

That’s how I feel too…always wanted go there…can’t wait to look for shells.

Hi – no – it was just a lot of rain!! We had so much this last august and yawn’…
Really missed the sunshine

That is very heavy rain. Then the drains can’t hold it. The streets are flooded… (Let the sunshine in)

You are exactly right – I don’t recall where we were when that rain photo was taken – but a few weeks ago the news showed that trash was clogging the drain entry way on some streets and they were getting people to pick it up or report it

That’s a common problem. If garbage retrieval fails, the rains drag it to the drains, which clog, etc… Any faulty link in the chain…

I like your take on wetness, Yvette. Your 3 images tell me a story of rush, of the nuisance of such a storm, and I like the way it ends with the upside down umbrella. A feeling of “glad its over”
And the slow mo video is great – what a good idea. I sometimes use it on a journey, but hadn’t thought to capture water. Thanks for the idea.
Have a good weekend

It is strange how it is so uneven in just the small United States. I understand how it differs between continents but here? One part of our country is under water right now while another part is burning down.

I know – it is crazy – and I wonder if those planes that drop that “crap” into the sky has something to do with it –

David’s dad once flew a plane, there were only 4 ever made that they would scoop up gallons and gallons of water and then drop that on the fires, I believe up in Oregon. I will have to check with him the names of the planes but they were huge. That was the problem, they were so expensive to fly. What is that red stuff anyhow?
