Hello Readers – today and tomorrow’s post will feature a few street shots for the January Square up.
Consider street shots to help you “look up” and around to see more of the world.

Consider street shots because you just might share a moment – through a photo – that leaves us moved and in awe.
- I humbly believe that street photography hes much value in preserving the changing parts of culture.
- It might even grab some of the culture essence that comes and go so fast – some things that will be gone shortly.
- Also, street shots offer a snapshot of a story. What we see is incomplete to the true scenario it was likely captured in, but that is part of the beauty – providing our narrative
- A street shot can catch humanity to help us “link up and connect” as we celebrate individual aspects, likeness, and diversity through what has been depicted.
- Many bloggers have their takes on street shots and one of them – Tish Farrell @ writer on the edge here- recently encouraged a reader to go and grab some of their own street shots – and I thought it was maybe time I encouraged folks to consider this too.
- Street shot photos might NOT ever be your thing — but maybe once in a while the moment will present itself. And it could be beautiful. To preserve a second in time that will never happen again has some beauty to it.
Here are a few more street shots for today –
I have a theme of blue – just for you 🙂

Wow – those are some intense blues you have going there Yvette – and all the same color of blue. I like Mural Man the best with all that blue going on. I have two sets of photos to use for street photography. One is funny or unusual signs I’ve taken photos of and the second is some photos outside an antique store where they display their wares in the windows. I am going to go back the next time it is cloudy, as I got some of the dreaded reflections of myself in the store window even though I stood back to avoid just that. I am going to use the photos of the antique store and say “surely these are not antiques as advertised as I know them all” … maybe for a birthday, a monumental one. 🙂
