  1. Happy Easter, Yvette. That chicken cartoon made me laugh. I hope your Easter was as wonderful as mine, which started with an amazing service at our new church. Good song link you provided. 🙂 He is risen!

    1. Hi Janet – that comic brings a smile my way to – and it has been more than 15 years since we
made colored Easter eggs… also – very glad you found a new church that you like. I forgot about how when we move there is so many things to connect with – like church – dentist – hair stylist – and other community connections. And to be honest – we never fully found all of what we liked when we lived in Denver – sigh – but we have made it work – 🙂
also – hope your new grandbaby enjoyed his first easter

      1. Yes, one of the hardest thing about moving is finding new places that you like, especially those you mentioned. We now have a very large, active church (first really big church we’ve ever attended), a bank, doctor, dentist, etc. I’ve been cutting my own hair for most of the time although I got a professional cut when I was in California months ago. Eventually I’ll have to find someone here…or maybe just get a cut every so often while visiting there. 🙂

        1. Oh it sounds like you found what you needed pretty fast!
And it makes sense to get some things done when you travel –
And for a while – I actually told my husband that i wanted to go to Denver for my doctor visits – but she retired now so that is not an option – but I had the best doctor ever back in Denver –

    1. Hi Maria – hope you are having a nice ending to the month of April – it has been fun to see the trees bud and emerge with all that electric green. I know it does that every April but so nice to enjoy 🙂

      1. Seems too long ago now. But we have another long weekend coming up. Monday is a public holiday that celebrates Labour day – the granting of a 40 hour working week that is now 37.25 hours for most workers!!

        1. Wow – that new workweek sounds like it could be a great thing
I also know that some folks thrive with a four day (40 hour) workweek and the three days off allow refreshment
Hooke your long weekend is pleasant

        2. What is the standard working day in the US?
The working week here in Australia has continued to evolve since the 19th century.
It was mainly workers in the building trades who got to enjoy eight-hour work days in the late 1800s in Australia.
It wasn’t until 1916 that the fairer working conditions became mandatory for everyone with the passing of the Eight Hours Act.
Later it was reduced to 37.25 hours.
