Fire Hydrants & Quotes Take Two (3May2022)

Happy Tuesday. I have another take on fire hydrant photos w/ quotes. (yesterday’s hydrant/quotes post is here)

ONE: I like the night life, baby….

Miami (South Beach, 2021)

***

TWO: City life….

DC – (this taken weeks before the pandemic lockdown began)

***

THREE: Forest bathing in Virginia …. (reminds me of Janet)

 ***

FOUR: Delightfully Different….

Quote: Embrace your differences and the qualities about you that you think are weird (or even flawed). Eventually, they’re going to be the only things separating you from everyone else <<and that is what makes you wonderful – let your “you” shine>>. ~Sebastian Stan.

Closing Notes

  • The Spring 2022 #Dickenschallenge features the book Bleak House this year and ends on one 9th. Earlier today, Trent posted an inspired reminder post – which included tasty sections like this:

“Dickens can be wordy, notoriously wordy, and yet the words cast a spell, create a vision, in a way that simple, terse prose cannot.  And this description of London is one of his great achievements.

As is the entire book, Bleak House.

This is a story that makes you question charity while always being thankful of people who are truly charitable.”

Hope you all have a great day

    1. Hi ally – I guess it depends on how we define “weird” because in some ways it can be beautiful and all about uniqueness in a good way but there is another weird that might be loco (and not so celebratory)
      😊

    1. Hi Jt –
Cheers to forest bathing – and those cones now come in these cool fabric circles with layers of rings – not sure f you have seen them but they are such clever idea and I think a lot more comfortable for pets

    1. Oh I am so glad you will be joining us for the interview – and side note – I still think of your friend’s art of fire hydrants whenever I post about them!
Hope you are having a nice start to May

        1. sigh – taxes never sound fun so congrats for getting them done
and I do have a few more hydrant posts in the works – and I guess taking street shots just
led me to seeing them more and more – just because they are always there.
and by the way – one of your recent street shots had a sleeping dog – and that pup looks a lt like my son’s dog.
I will have to share an image later
hope you have a great day

  1. Thanks for thinking of me and linking to my blog, Yvette. That’s nice of you. I did chuckle at forest bathing with fire hydrants involved and that first cartoon really made me laugh.
