Monday Morning Blooms: Mini Fresh Flower Bouquet & Real vs Fake Quotes (May2022)

Happy Monday. Here are some flowers and quotes to start the week.

Whenever I see fresh flowers at a business, I think the organization is making a statement. Or they just have a budget for flowers…. (smile)

There is a time for artificial flowers (indeed) but there is something special about seeing real flowers – the energy is much different.  Sometimes real flowers remind me of being real – and genuine-  in everyday life. It won’t always lead to popularity, but it makes the world a better place.

The faker you are, the bigger your circle will be, and the realer you are, the smaller your circle will be.

Real people are never perfect and perfect people are never real.

The problem is people are being hated for being real and loved for being fake.

    1. Hi JT- I think some folks would say artificial flowers are also for indoors-
But I guess it depends on many factors – like function too

        1. yes! thanks for the reminder of that (even though did you know many florists use
“sprays” on the bouquets and they ruin a bit for me – not all use it – but some do – and that is sad

    1. Hahaha
Love the ending of your comment especially
      “Be real”
Because that is what leads to trust and depth –
Sigh – some folks mean well
      With their “fronts” and “pretense”
But it gets old after a while and doesn’t allow bonding (no roots can be dropped)
      😊

      1. I know that phrase, “be real,” can be used as a put down, but I do like it as a greeting 🙂 I think we all put on false fronts to some degree or another when we are around people, but it is always best to try to let our true selves out as much as possible.

        1. Hi Trent – yes, I have heard the sarcastic version of “be real” – and a few of the folks that are “queen of being fakes” often have good intentions – well one person comes to mind right now – her false front is part of the way she thinks she keeps unity and keep things smooth. (but peace at any price is not real peace) – and I finally realized that because she cannot let people in (has a high wall and just keeps that false side) well we cannot bond – cannot get closer.
‘It sometimes feels like “head games” but this distant family member (husband’s side) just has her ways – sigh
and regarding letting out our true selves – “true that” – even though we need discretion and boundaries – especially with certain topics.
okay – enough rambling – thanks for coming back to add the extra comment

    1. Hi – Janet said the same thing – about having fresh flowers around a lot.
And we have a small Store across town that gets leftover flowers after big holidays – so if we happen to go there – I usually get a bunch for
Under five dollars – the price varies but it is also about helping them not do right into the trash! My duty to bring home a bouquet – hahahaha

  2. We chose our new kitchen installer because of the hanging baskets of real flowers that adorned their premises. We have continued to enjoy their work ever since

    1. Oh wow – their hanging flower baskets spoke to your gardener’s heart! it does make a statement
Quick story from our neck of the woods:
While at a local place where we got our countertops from (they were great by the way) well they had a small pot in the entrance way and it looked like it was from last year with a single weed in there (I took a photo of it on the way out) and weeks later – when the job was done, I brought them a Spanish lavender plant and told them it “could” go into that pot near the door – well the lady told me she had intentionally planted clover there – what? – I have never seen clover planted other than in fields for a ground cover – – so I was right that it was a weed but had no idea it was cared for (and it was doing well) – and hey – we all have different tastes – and they liked the lavender too.

  3. I like the flower pics and your quotes Yvette. When I was working downtown, before we moved our offices out of the City, we had a florist shop across the street from our office building and I bought myself fresh flowers every Monday. Sometimes by August I had my own black-eyed susans and daisies or roses to take but I usually brought those bouquets into the house. I like calling the tulip by its full name. 🙂
