Husband is back from Austin, Texas and while walking through Richmond last night, I was comparing these “river cities”
As we were walking, a family began raising their arms at the conductor. There was this simple, yet potent, joy in the air.
BIKES in RVA
The hubs was in Austin to visit son2 and to attend the Keto Con Conference (more on that another time) but there was plenty of wonderful life-giving meat!

It was fun to walk and compare river cities. It was great to have our other son with us and then making this post reminded me how beautiful life can be in spite of challenges. Or maybe how beautiful life can be BECAUSE of challenges, Right?
- It really is how we approach things.
- Attitude really does determine latitude.
- And when Collette said “what a wonderful life I had, I wish I had known sooner” – Maybe we all can have more intentional moments to smile and see the wonderful parts of life right now!
- Our unique journey here is not done and it has many good things to come!
After the walk near downtown – returned home and the flowers whispered yet another message.
I saw hope with the new buds ready to open – which reminded me that new things are unfolding everyday. They are ours to embrace!
Yesterday, I wrote about “death and dying” – here– which led to a reminder about how we all need to lighten up and stress less!
So on this “Sweet Saturday” I am feeling grateful. Not for some of our huge successes or honors or accolades – but for being human and having legs that work – and for having a heart that allows me to love and be loved.
What about you?
What are you grateful for today?
